Midleydown is only a short 10 minute stroll away from the community-run village shop and local Devonshire pub in the vibrant village of Plymtree.

Visit the fantastic, well stocked village shop, with shelves stacked full of local produce, wine supplied by Plymtree’s own wine merchant and cider made in the village, perfect for those sunset evenings on the veranda or in the hot tub! Freshly baked warm croissants are available at the weekends for those lazy, indulgent mornings.
Fresh Bread, Meat, Savouries, Fruit and Vegetables. The Plymtree Community Shop – see our history – provides an important social hub to the community as well as supplying all basic Grocery and Household products, Tobacco, Wines and Spirits, Meat, Bread, Dairy, Newspapers and Stationery. A free, high-speed, Wi-Fi internet connection is offered. Post Office services are also available.

The Blacksmiths Arms
A visit to Susie and Alan at The Blacksmiths Arms is a must! They will welcome you at their family friendly, local pub with beer garden. Takeaways available Tuesday-Saturday 5:30-6:30pm. Other times maybe possible depending on restaurant bookings. See their website for further information and food menus. Please note booking is required.
Dining
Each tent has a fully fitted kitchen equipped with an oven in the woodburner, two ring hob with whistling kettle, indoor dining area with large table and ample seating, a gas BBQ and your own decked veranda with dining furniture, perfect for Al Fresco dining. For those who don’t fancy cooking there are several local pubs, such as, The Blacksmiths Arms, The Merry Harriers and The Drewe Arms. A short 10 minute drive away is the village of Cullompton where there are many restaurants and take-aways for you to choose from.
Things to do
In your tent, you’ll find a pack filled with maps and information. Children can enjoy the freedom of our secure 5 acre field, whilst playing football and making use of our play equipment. Nearby visitors attractions include, The Bear Trail, Escot Park, Crealy Adventure Park, The World of Country Life, Seaton Jurassic and many more.
Don’t forget…
Your swimmers and towels for the hot tub and nearby beaches, bathroom toiletries, wellies and jumpers (for the typical British weather!), jacket potatoes and pizzas for your woodburners oven and marshmallows and skewers for the communal fire pit. Please note there are no plugs sockets and only USB ports, so bring a mobile power bank if necessary.
